Safety Nets
Things a girl can not live without vary from woman to woman. I am one of those women you could describe as slightly obsessive compulsive, therefore number one on my list is…my GIANT handbag. This giant handbag is then filled with all kinds of things. It depends on what time of the year it is and also what is going on in my life, but I have been known to carry cutlery around with me! In the summer I religiously take sun-cream, running clothes for the gym, an umbrella and sunglasses out with me.
I generally also have to have two or three notepads and about a billion pens. One is a diary, the other is a second memory and the third is just in case….
Ok so I am very obsessive, however there are other, less control freaky things I could not live without.
Number 2 Mascara; I couldn’t careless if I never had another form of make-up as long as I had mascara I would be happy.
Number 3 smellies; I could not survive without having a massive stock of bathroom smellies. Lush is like a fantasy shop for me. They are particularly important to me, as my bath time is one of the only times of the day no one can bother me. My phone is off, the iPod is on, a good book in hand and smellies everywhere. It is the only time I get to have a bit of me time…I’m sure many women can appreciate this!
I also could not live without my iPod or books. Both these things help me to experience a bit of escapism, thankfully pulling me out of situations and thrusting me and my imagination in to happier less stressful places…
